Viaje a España Proyecto Comenius '09

Semana Una El domingo llegamos a Madrid desde el aeropuerto de Gatwick en Inglaterra. El aeropuerto de Gatwick estaba muy bien organizado pero el aeropuerto de Barajas era muy confuso. Los dos aeropuertos eran muy acogedores. Antes de los ataques terroristas en los aeropuertos ingleses, la seguridad era menos estricta. Fuimos en autobús hasta Ávila. On Sunday we travelled to Madrid from Gatwick airport in England. Gatwick airport was very organized but Barajas airport was very confusing. Both airports were very welcoming. Before terrorist attacks in airports in England, security was less strict, We went by coach to Ávila,

Semana Una Visitamos Madrid el miércoles e hicimos un tour por la ciudad en autobús, fue muy cansado. Visitamos la plaza mayor, el Palacio de Oriente y el Parque del Retiro. En Inglaterra los parques suelen ser pequeños y no tienen tantas atracciones, como lagos. En el futuro voy a ir a visitar Madrid otra vez porque me gustaría ver los monumentos que no he podido ver. On Wednesday we visited Madrid and we had a tour of the city by bus, it was very tiring. We visited the main square, the Palace of Orient and el Parque del Retiro. In England, parks are usually small and don´t have as many attractions, like lakes. In the future I would like to visit Madrid again because I would like to see the monuments we didn't visit.

Semana Una Son las fiestas de Santa Teresa vamos a la procesión y hace calor. Me pareció una actividad muy cultural. Por la noche vimos fuegos artificiales y cantamos canciones como Mamma Mia y El ciclo de la vida.En Inglaterra no celebramos los santos excepto St.Patrick, David y George. En España es muy tradicional celebrar las festividades de los santos. Después fuimos a un concierto, fue muy divertido. We went to the Santa Teresa procession and it was hot. I think the activity was so cultural. At night we saw the fireworks and we sang songs like Mamma Mia and Circle of life.In England we don´t celebrate saints except for St.Patrick, David and George. In Spain it is very traditional to celebrate saints. Later we went to a concert, it was very fun.

Week Two On Monday we went to a solar powered factory that produces water, the visit was very interesting because we learnt about the numerous processes that take place there.Such as the formation of bottles by heating and blowing plastic. We also visited Salamanca and carried out a historic tour of monuments such as the House of Shells. We also went shopping. El lunes fuimos a una fábrica que trabajaba con energía solar y producía agua, la visita fue muy interesante porque aprendimos mucho de numerosos procesos que hacían allí.Como era la formación de las botellas calentandolas. También visitamos Salamanca e hicimos una ruta turística de monumentos como la Casa de las Conchas.También nos fuimos de compras.

Week Two On Wednesday we went to the Windmill parks on the hillside, to find out more about how much energy they produce. Each windmill costs around 1,5 million. The energy they produce is clean and efficient. It was very cold though so we didn´t stay for long! After lunch we went to a park to do an orienteering activity in small groups. El miércoles fuimos a un parque eólico a las afueras para aprender cuanta energía producen. Cada molino cuesta alrededor de 1,500 millones de.La energía que produce es limpia y eficiente. Week Two At the beginning of the trip I wasn´t as confident with my Spanish speaking skills and I had limited vocabulary. After being here for two weeks I think that my speaking has improved and that through using the language in a more practical way, I have also learnt more vocabulary. Al principio del viaje no estaba seguro de mi habla española y tenía un vocabulario muy limitado. Después de estar aquí dos semanas creo que mi habla ha mejorado y lo he conseguido utilizando mi lenguaje en una forma más práctica. También he aprendido más vocabulario.

Week Two Although in reality we weren´t the people that travelled to another country I think that we enjoyed it as much as the others. Talking all the time in English has helped us become more confident and more fluent. Aunque en realidad nosotros no éramos los que viajábamos a un país extranjero creo que lo hemos disfrutado lo mismo que ellos. El hecho de hablar todo el día en inglés nos ha enseñado a tener más soltura y confianza.
