I.O.P. placement (3) BEFORE the conjugated verb Compro el libro para tí.  Te compro el libro. CONNECT to the infinitive Voy a comprar el libro a tí.  Voy a comprarte el libro. CONNECT to the -ndo form Estoy comprando el libro a tí.  Estoy comprándote el libro. When connecting to the -ndo form, count back 2 syllables and add a written accent.

D.O.P. and I.O.P. in the same sentence. When you have a D.O.P. and an I.O.P. in the same sentence, remember: “Indirect before direct!” Compro el libro para tí. Te lo compro para tí. Lavo el carro para nosotros. Nos lo lavo para nosotros.

*Remember... When the I.O.P. and the D.O.P. both start with “l, ” change the I.O.P. to “se.” Le doy la tarea a mi profesora. Le la doy a mi profesora. Se la doy a mi profesora. Les compro la casa a mis padres. Les la compro a mis padres. Se la compro a mis padres.

Indirect before direct!
