Subject Pronouns What does the subject of the sentence do? Identify who/what is doing the action.

Names are often used as the subject of a sentence. Ana canta y baila. Ana sings and dances. Gregorio y María escuchan música. Gregory and María listen to music. To avoid repetition, what can we replace names with in a sentence?

Pronouns!!!! - A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. (Hint: every name has a pronoun)
