EL MANDATO AFIRMATIVO FORMAL Usted and Ustedes command forms

Forming the Usted command for -ar verbs For –ar verbs you must drop the (o) in the yo form of the present tense conjugation of the verb and add an (e) in its place . Exmaple: Hablar yo form yo hablo Hable (would be the usted command form.)

Forming the usted command for –er and –ir verbs For –er and –ir verbs you must drop the (o) in the yo present tense conjugation of the verb and substitute an (a) in its place. EXAMPLE : comer yo form COMO COMA would be the usted command form of comer EXAMPLE: vivir yo form VIVO VIVA would be the usted command form.

Creating the ustedes command form To create the ustedes command form also known as the plural formal command form all you must do is add an (N) to the usted command form (singular formal command form) EXAMPLE: Hable (usted command form) Hablen (ustedes command from)

COMMAND IN VERBS WITH STEM CHANGES If a verb has a stem change in the present tense than it is most likely that the stem change will also be present in the command form The only time this is not true is if the verb has an irregular command form Note: remember that the verbs that are shoe verbs the yo form has a stem change as well as the –go family of verbs.
