Pretérito=Preterite!

Preterite = Past! To conjugate verbs in the preterite tense we follow the same process The rules are the same BUT The endings are different

-AR Verb Conjugations in Preterite Tense To conjugate an –AR verb we 1. Drop the “-ar” 2. Determine the subject (yo, tú, el/ella, ud., nosotros, ellos/ellas, uds.) 3. Attach the appropriate ending that matches with the already determined subject -AR Verb Preterite Endings: Yo: -é Tú: -aste Él/ella/ud.: -ó Nosotros: -amos Ellos/ellas/uds.: -aron
