About the artist Posada was born is Aguascalientes, México in 1852 and was educated early on by his brother, Cirilo. It was also his brother who taught him how to draw, and helped develop Posada’s skills at a very young age. Early into his teens, Posada entered the printmaking shop of Trinidad Pedroso and began an apprenticeship. By the time was sixteen, he was working for the shop and producing a great amount of political prints.
