Direct Object Pronouns

A direct object is the person or thing in a sentence that receives the action of the verb.

A direct object answers the questions: what or whom of the verb.

Ejemplos…. Veo el reproductor de DVDs. I see what?? the DVD player. (the Direct Object)

Veo a la profesora y a Sandra. I see whom? the teacher and Sandra.

Juan tiene dos hermanos en San Juan. He has what? two brothers

Me = meNos= us Te = youOs = you plural familiar Lo = him, it, you La = her, it, you Los = them, you Las = them, you Direct Object Pronouns

Direct object pronouns usually PRECEED the conjugated verb.

Lo veo. I see him. (Juan)

La veo. I see it. (la biblioteca)

No la veo. I dont see it. (la biblioteca)

Negative expressions (such as no or nunca) are placed before the object pronouns. Nunca la veo. I never see her.(Blanca) or No la veo I do not see her.
