Introduccion Non-renewble energy sources are mostly fossil fuels. The recourses are limited and will most likely disapear in the 21st century. Therefore we must use them sparingly. These resources boostes rapid industrial development, but causes many ecological problems. Las fuentes de energía no renovables son principalmente combustibles fósiles. Sus reservas son limitadas y seguramente se agotaran en el siglo XXI, por lo que debemos usarlas con moderación. Estos recursos impulsaron el rápido desarrollo industrial, pero causaron muchos problemas ecológicos.

Natural Gas Natural gas is a natural resource, which comes from geological formations. It is a source of non-renewable energy, composed of 70-95% methane gas, but it also has ethane, propane, butane. These components make natural gas a pollutant. One advantage is that there is a lot and one disadvantage is that it produces greenhouse gases. El Gas Natural es un recurso natural que proviene de formaciones geologicas, por lo tanto es una energia no renovable, compuesta en su 70-95% de metano, aunque tambien contiene etano, propano, butano…, estos componentes hacen que el gas natural sea contaminante. Una ventaja es que hay mucho y una desventaja es que producce efecto invernandero.

The thermal power station Thermal power station is an industrial establishment which generates steam with using fossil fuel. Steam drives the turbines, which drives the generator, that produces current. La central térmica es un cimiento industrial estable que genera combustibles fósiles para producir vapor. El vapor impulsa las turbinas, que impulsan el generador, que produce la corriente.

La industria del carbòn El carbón es una de las materias primas más importantes de la tierra. Mientras se quema, produce dióxido de carbono que es responsable del calentamiento global. Impide la liberación de la radiación infrarroja. También causa lluvia ácida y niebla, que son cada vez más frecuentes. Una de las ventajas más importantes es que emite mucho calor y energía.

The coal industry Coal is one of the most important raw materials on the earth. While burning, it produces carbon dioxide which is responsible for global warming. It hampers the release of infrared radiation. It also causes acid rain and smog, which are becoming increasingly frequent. One of the most important advantage of it is that while burning, in contrast to other rocks, it emits a lot of heat and energy.

La energía nuclear ¿Qué es la energía nuclear? La energía nuclear (o energía atómica) es una especie de energía, que está unida en la estructura interna de los elementos químicos. Las reacciones nucleares pueden ocurrir espontáneamente o por la influencia de otros elementos. Para la energía nuclear se utiliza la fisión nuclear controlada. El combustible en la central nuclear es el uranio. Plantas nucleares en la República Checa La primera planta nuclear en la República Checa es Dukovany. Es una parte importante del sistema eléctrico checo. Esta planta de energía nuclear está entre el primer tercio de las plantas de energía nuclear más seguras en el mundo.

Nuclear reactions can happen spontaneously or by the influence of other elements. For nuclear power is used controlled nuclear fission. Fuel in nuclear power station is uranium. Nuclear power plants in Czech Republic The first nuclear power station in the Czech Republic is the power plant Dukovany. Dukovany is an important part of the Czech power system and is among the third safest nuclear power plant in the world.

VENTAJAS Y DESVANTAJAS Ventajas: son fuentes de energía empleadas por el ser humano desde hace mucho tiempo, así que los seres humanos las conocen bien. Esto es una ventaja, porque la tecnología y las infraestructuras ya existe y se han adaptado para estos tipos de energía. Desventajas: el principal inconveniente es el hecho de que no son renovable. En un momento concreto del tiempo las reservas de estas fuentes se gastaran, y, si los seres humanos no han invertido lo suficiente en fuentes renovables (energía eólica, hidroeléctrica, solar, entre otras), podemos sufrir falta de energía en el futuro.

Advantages and disadvantages Advanteges: they are sources of energy used by humans for a long time, so they are well know to humans. This is an advantage, because the techonology and infrastructure already exist and have been adapted for these types of energy . Disadvantages: the main drawback is the fact that they are not renwable. At a specific point in time we must start using wind, hyproeletric, solar energy , among others, or we may suffer from a lack of energy in the future.
