Estructura # 1 In Spanish there are two verbs that mean to be. They are ser and estar. These verbs have very distinct uses. They are not interchangeable. Ser is used to express a trait or characteristic that does not change. Estar is used to express a temporary condition or state.

Estructura #1 Example 1 Yo soy sincera. La casa es muy alta. Estoy enfermo. Esta cansado y nervioso.

Estructura #2 Ser y estar Origin and location The verb ser is used to express where someone or something is from. Estar is used to express where someone or something is located.

Estructura #3 Me, te, and nos are object pronouns. Note that the pronoun is placed right before the verb.

Estructura #3 Exámenes La medica me examina. La medica te da una receta. La medica nos receta los pastillas.
