Plenary – the spanish day The Spanish day is very different from the British one. Pupils at High School finish at about 2 O’clock and go home for lunch and do not return to shcool. They do homework and clubs in the afternoon. The Spanish lunch hour is much later – usually at 2 pm and Spaniards have a big lunch. Supper/Dinner is much later than in Britain – at 9-10pm. People tend to go to bed much later in Spain – at pm. Children also stay up later than in Britain. TO make up for this – Spanish people often have a nap in the afternoon – called a ‘siesta’.
