The iPad belongs to the school. You get to use it. El iPad es de la escuela y tú lo usas.  Just like a textbook, it is yours to use and you are responsible.  Es como un libro de texto, es para tú uso y tú eres responsable.  iPads are an expensive educational tool.  Los iPads son una herramienta educativa cara.  All computer use rules apply to iPads.  Todas las reglas del uso de computadoras, aplican para los iPads.  We are trusting you with it.  Te lo estamos confiando.

Internet Safety and CIPA Seguridad en el Internet y CIPA Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) All iPads have an internet filter at school. Parents need to monitor access at home. CIPA= Acta de Protección a los niños en el internet  Todos los iPads tienen un filtro al usar el internet en la escuela  En casa, los padres deben monitorearlos.

iPad Care, Use and Protection #1 The iPad is loaned to each student for the school year. It must be returned in good condition at the end of the school year or when a student leaves the OVSD. #2 The student will be charged for the full cost of the iPad, protective case, and /or charging device if these are not returned. The District will withhold grades, diploma, and transcripts from the student and parent/guardian until reparation is made. #1 A cada estudiantes se le prestará un iPad durante el año escolar. Cuando el año escolar termine o cuando el estudiante deje el distrito deben regresarlo en buena condición. #2 Al estudiante se le cobrará el costo total del iPad, su tapa protectora, y/o el cargador si no se devuelve. El Distrito retendrá las calificaciones, el diploma y las transcripciones del estudiante y del padre/tutor hasta que cumplan con lo requerido. Cost = $438

#3 The student is responsible for loss or any damage to his/her iPad, iPad case, and/or iPad charging device, just as he/she is responsible for the care of textbooks and other school property. #3 El estudiante es responsable de la perdida o de cualquier daño al iPad, su tapa protectora y/o el cargador del mismo modo que es responsable de los libros de texto y cualquier otra propiedad escolar. Repair cost = $150+ Costo de reparación

#4 Students must bring his/her iPad to school every day fully charged. #5 Students may only use their own Apple ID. #6 Student may only download approved apps. These are apps approved by the teacher or any app on the MAAS 360 app. #4 Los estudiantes deben traer su iPad todos los días a la escuela y debe estar completamente cargado. #5 Los estudiantes deben usar su propia Apple ID. #6 Los estudiantes sólo deben “bajar” programas aprobados por sus maestros o cualquier programa de MAAS 360.

IMPORTANT! IMPORTANTE! #7 Students may NOT install or uninstall profiles. #7 los estudiantes NO deben instalar o remover perfiles (profiles).

#8 iPads must be locked in P.E. locker during Physical Education class. #8 Durante la clase de Educación Física (P.E.), los iPads deben estar bajo llave en sus casilleros (lockers).

#9 iPads are for the use of the student to whom it is issued. The iPad should not be used by siblings or friends. #9 Los iPads son para el uso de los estudiantes a quienes se les asignó, no para que lo usen los hermanos o amigos.

# 10 Use only a clean, soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen. Do not use aerosol sprays, solvents, or cleansers of any type. Abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels, and similar items may cause damage to the iPad. #10 Para limpiar la pantalla sólo deben usar una tela limpia, suave, y que no deje residuos/peluza. No usen aéreosoles, solventes o ninguna otra clase de limpiadores. Telas rasposas, servilletas de papel o similares pueden dañar la pantalla.

#11 Keep food and liquid away from your iPad, since these might damage the device. #11 Alimentos y bebidas no deben mantenerse cerca de un iPad ya que pueden dañar el artefacto.

#12 iPads must always be in the school approved protective case. The iPad, in it’s case, must always be carried in the student’s backpack. Los iPads siempre deben estar en protectores aprobados, y en las mochilas de los estudiantes. #13 The iPad and case must be free from stickers, writing, or any other thing that defaces or damages the devise or case. Los iPads y los protectores no deben tener calcamonías, o ninguna clase de marca/escritura que los dañe. #14 Cords and cables must be carefully inserted into the iPad to prevent damage. Cuerdas y cables deben estar apropiadamente insertados en el iPad para prevenir daños.

#15 iPads must never be left in an unlocked car or any unsupervised area. #15 Nunca deben dejar los iPads en carros que no estén cerrados con seguro o en áreas que no estén vigiladas.

 Students must immediately notify the school office if their iPad is damaged or lost.  En caso de perdida o daño al iPad, ¡debe notificar a la escuela ínmediatamente!

In the classroom, the iPad is a tool for learning. The teacher is the learning leader and directs the use of classroom resources, including the iPad. Students are to follow teacher directions. En el salón de clases, el iPad es una herramienta de aprendizaje. El maestro es el líder,y él/ella dirige como usar los recursos, incluyendo el iPad. Los estudiantes deben obedecer las instrucciones del maestro.

When an iPad is not being used in class or the teacher has asked for them to be turned off, the iPad MUST be turned off. En el salón de clases cuando los iPads no se estén usando o si el maestro pide que los apaguen es lo que se DEBE que hacer.

Student are to be using only the apps or accessing sites teachers have directed them to during class time. Durante las clases los estudiantes deben ir solamente a los lados (apps/sites) que los maestros les indiquen.

Forgot at home or not charged Se le olvidó en casa o no está cargado:  1 st time- conference in office and lunch detention  2 nd time- conference in office, after school detention and phone call home  3 rd time- conference in office, Friday School, 1 point, parent conference  4 th time- parent and student conference in office, day use contract o 1 ra. vez – conferencia en la oficina y detención a la hora del almuerzo o 2 nda. vez - conferencia en la oficina, detención después de escuela, y llamada a la casa o 3 ra. vez - conferencia en la oficina, detención el viernes (Friday School), 1 punto, conferencia con el padre/madre o 4 ta. vez - conferencia en la oficina con el padre/madre y el estudiante, se le dará un contrato para uso diario

Inappropriate use in class or on campus Uso inapropriado en el salón de clases o en la escuela: 1 st time- conference in office, parent contact, after school detention 2 nd time- parent conference in office and Friday School 3 rd time- parent conference in office, day use only for 2 weeks 4 th time- parent conference in office, day use contract, period to be determined based on the severity of the offence 1 ra. vez – conferencia en la oficina, se contactará a uno de los padres, detención después de escuela 2 nda. vez - conferencia en la oficina con uno de los padres, y detención el viernes (Friday School) 3 ra. vez - conferencia en la oficina con uno de los padres, uso durante el día sólo por 2 semanas 4 ta. vez - conferencia en la oficina con uno de los padres, contrato para uso diario, el tiempo se determinará de acuerdo a la severidad de la ofensa

If you remove the student profile or tamper with the security settings, you will lose personal iPad privileges for the remainder of the semester. Si remueves el perfil del estudiante o alteras las configuraciones de seguridad, perderás el privilegio de usar el iPad en lo que resta del semestre.
