1 Dear Parents, Please review our 3 rd Grade Goes Wireless information. Review the Wireless User Agreement with your child BEFORE allowing them to bring in their wireless technology. Students who do not adhere to our agreement will not be allowed to bring in their own equipment. Students will be allowed to bring their own devices every Friday, beginning December 5, 2014. If you have any questions, please ask me at your parent- teacher conference. 1.Users accept responsibility for storing their equipment correctly. 2.Users accept responsibility for understanding how to charge and turn on their equipment. 3.Users accept responsibility for taking their equipment home each “Wireless Day”. 4.Users accept responsibility for using wireless technology in a responsible way, following Midland’s Character Counts Traits. Parent/Student Information Goals:  Increase student engagement, motivation, and collaboration  Increase student access to technology in the classroom  Prepare students for their future HOW WILL TECHNOLOGY BE USED IN THE CLASSROOM? 1.Research Purposes Learn how to identify credible on-line resources Utilize district web resources 2.Productivity Purposes Type writing assignments Create presentations and projects using a variety of platforms 3.Collaboration Learn how to use a variety of platforms to collaborate in all subject areas at school and at home 4. Extension Activities Use educations apps to support individual learning WHAT TYPES OF DEVICES CAN STUDENTS BRING TO SCHOOL? Laptops or netbooks with wireless internet capability iPad or tablet with internet capability iTouch, Kindle, Nook, etc. Power cords to connect to a power strip Carrying case (required) USB flash drive for PCs ALL STUDENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN ALL LEARNING ACTIVITIES, REGARDLESS IF THEY BRING THEIR OWN WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY!!!!!

3 Estimados padres de familia, Por favor revise nuestro 3 Grado Goes información inalámbrica. Revise el Acuerdo de usuario de Wireless con su hijo antes de que les permite traer a su tecnología inalámbrica. Los estudiantes que no se adhieren a nuestro acuerdo no se les permitirá traer su propio equipo. Los estudiantes podrán traer sus propios dispositivos de todos los viernes, a partir del 5 de diciembre de 2014. Si tiene alguna pregunta, por favor me pregunte en su conferencia de padres y maestros. 1. Los usuarios aceptan la responsabilidad de almacenar sus equipos correctamente. 2. Los usuarios aceptan la responsabilidad de la comprensión de cómo cargar y encender sus equipos. 3. El usuario acepta la responsabilidad de tomar su equipo a casa cada "Día Wireless". 4.
