They are called –go verbs because when you conjugate them with yo, they end in -go
Decir (To tell/to say) e > i YodigoNosotros/asdecimos Tú dices UstedUstedes ÉldiceEllosdicen EllaEllas Mi amiga dice que la tarea es dificil. My sister says that the homework is difficult.
Venir (To come) e > ie YovengoNosotros/asvenimos Tú vienes UstedUstedes ÉlvieneEllosvienen EllaEllas Los estudiantes vienen a clases todos los días. The students come to school every day.
Poner (To put, set, place) YopongoNosotros/as ponemos Tú pones UstedUstedes ÉlponeEllosponen EllaEllas Tengo que poner la mesa. I have to set the table.
Salir (To leave) YosalgoNosotros/assalimos Tú sales UstedUstedes ÉlsaleEllossalen EllaEllas El tren sale a las dos de la tarde. The train leaves at two in the afternoon.
Traer (To bring) YoTraigoNosotros/as Traemos Tú Traes UstedUstedes ÉlTraeEllosTraen EllaEllas Traigo la comida para la fiesta. I bring the food for the party.
Dar (To give) - Irregular verb YodoyNosotros/asdamos Tú das UstedUstedes ÉldaEllosdan EllaEllas La maestra da muchas pruebas. The teacher gives many tests.
