El imperfecto You’ve already learned to use the preterite to talk about things you’ve done in the past Spanish, however, has two different past tenses: 1: Preterite 2: Imperfect Completed Actions!!! I ate pancakes this morning. Yo comí panqueques esta mañana. Habitual, repeated or ongoing actions in the past!!! I used to play soccer a lot as a child. Yo jugaba al fútbol mucho cuando era niño.
