I. ¿Cómo es la naturaleza del pais? Consideren el vocabulario de la unidad. Busque información sobre la naturaleza de su pais. ¿Qué hay en el pais? ¿Hay un bosque tropical? ¿unas montañas? ¿un volcán? ¿Cuáles son los lagos y ríos más signíficantes del pais? ¿Hay un desierto? Mencionen las plantas, flores, y árboles comunes en este pais.

II. Los animales Consideren el vocabulario de la unidad. Busquen información sobre los animales nativos del pais. ¿Cuáles especies de animales viven en el pais? ¿Dónde viven? Mencionen los animales y busquen fotos. Indiquen los regiones específicos en que viven.

III. El medio ambiente Consideren el vocabulario de la unidad. Busquen información sobre los problemas ecológicos del pais. ¿Hay deforestación? ¿Contaminación? ¿Están los animales en peligro de extinción? ¿Sufre este pais los efectos del calentamiento global? Presenten los problemas a la clase.

IV. Soluciones Consideren el vocabulario de la unidad. ¿Qué soluciones puedes ofrecer para los problemas ecológicos del pais? ¿Qué recomiendan? ¿Qué sugieren? ¿Qué es necesario que hagan para resolver los problemas y proteger la naturaleza y los animales del pais?

Soluciones/ Recomendaciones 1. Start with a verb of will/ influence or an impersonal expression. (Recomendamos que… Sugerimos que…Es importante que, etc.) 2. After the “que”, state who you want, recommend, suggest does something. 3. State what you recommend (suggest, etc.) that they do using a verb in the subjunctive. Recomendamos que la gente recicle más materiales. Es necesario que el gobierno haga leyes para proteger las ballenas.

Assignment Targets : Target: 1.La NaturalezaI can present this information using Spanish, with practiced pronunciation, a creative and appealing visual, documented research sources, on time and with a clear, organized presentation. This looks great and I sound great! I can describe the natural elements of a region. I know the vocabulary for the major natural elements. I know the location of this content on the map. My content is correct and research-based. I have some good information but it appears that I haven’t done much research. My Spanish is difficult to understand. I have no idea where I got the info. My visual indicates a lack of effort. I used class time poorly and needed additional time. My presentation is disorganized. 2. Los Animales I can talk about animals that are native to the country, including where they live. My content is research-based. I have included photos of the animals. 3. El Medio ambiente I am knowledgeable about a significant ecological problem of this country and its cause. My statements are researched based. I have included photos of the problem. 4. Soluciones I am able to propose (suggest, recommend) solutions to the ecological problems in this region. My solutions are viable and based on the vocabulary from our unit.
