VELATORIO: Los familiares, amigos y vecinas van a la casa del fallecido y durante toda la noche permanecen junto al difunto. Los hombres en una habitación y en la entrada de la casa. Las mujeres en otra, generalmente donde se encuentra el difunto. En la calle permanece mucha gente y suele hablarse de cosas cotidianas además del difunto. Funeral parlour: - Family, friends and neighbours go to the deceased’s house and stay all night long. - Men stay in a room and by the door. Women in another room, generally where the deceased is. - A lot of peoplestay on the street and they usually talk about daily life and about the dead person.

Durante toda la noche, los vecinos dan el pésame a la familia y se van turnando para que no se queden solos. Los vecinos más allegados llevan algo de comida y bebida (café) para ofrecer a los asistentes. Hoy en día se está prohibiendo esta práctica en la casa del difunto y las leyes obligarán a que el fallecido esté en una sala acondicionada del cementerio y/o tanatorio.
