When you learn pronouns in any language, this is the order in which you’ll find them. 6 In spite of the fact that “Ud.” means the same thing “tú” does (“you”), it’s treated like a third person pronoun, instead of a second person pronoun: yonosotros túvosotros él, ella, Ud.ellos What that means is that anything that applies to the third person (like verb endings and OBJECT pronouns) also applies to “Ud.”

7 The same is true of “Uds.” Even though it means the same thing as “vosotros” (“y’all”), it goes with the 3 rd person plural: yonosotros túvosotros él, ella, Ud.ellos, Uds.

8 THE VERB “SER” “Ser” is one of the most commonly used verbs in Spanish. It means “to be.” It’s the most irregular verb there is in Spanish, much like it’s English counterpart. amareare isare soysomos eressois esson

The verb “ser” has several uses including: 1.The origin of a person or thing. 2.Identification. 3.Characteristics and/or personality traits. 4.Telling time and the date. 5.With the preposition “de” to say what something is made of and/or to show possession. 6.Nationality and/or profession.
