1 There are many doctrines associated with the second coming of Christ either directly or indirectly. With the second coming of Christ we may think of the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead, the doctrine of judgment, the doctrine of the end of the world, the doctrine of heaven and hell. These things are tied to the fact that Jesus will one day return. Men have had an obsession with trying to flirt with dates suggesting when the end of the world would be. One of the most popular preachers trying to establish a date for the 2nd coming of Christ was one who essentially became the founder of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church – William Miller. Mr. Miller went about boldly asserting that Jesus would come on March 21, He was so powerful in his presentations that he had gained a following over time of nearly 1 in 17 Americans. March 21, 1843 came and left as all other days have since the creation have. His powerful presentations were denied. He then sought to correct his blunder and added an extra year predicting the second coming to be on March 21, As history has showed, March 21 began, the sun continued to move and finally dipped away from the horizon of man's eye. When midnight finally came and Christ had not come Miller and his disciples were stunned. Would that have been the end of Miller? Nope! Joshua Himes came to Miller’s rescue convincing him and others that there was a blunder and that the date for Christ’s return was really October 22, Through the ensuing months they went preaching packing theaters showing their timelines and interpretations. When October 22nd finally dawned, people were reported of doing all kinds of foolish things. “6. One reporter said, "The children scurried about in the mud and muck, wild-eyed and frightened, their heads filled with thoughts of fire and destruction. The sight of their mentally disturbed parents terrified them. The children milled and wandered, many of them becoming lost in the sea of white-robed fanatics who were interested only in the trumpet and sheet of flame that would end the world Another reporter said that in one of the tent- cities, two frightened children, overcome with fear and cold, laid down on the soggy ground and were found by their parents the following morning, dead and trampled into the mud and mire. In Philadelphia, "a mild-mannered man" stepped from a third-story window and tried to fly to heaven and was found in the street with his body mangled in death and his ascension robe soiled with mud and spattered with blood One young woman in Chicago, not being aware that all earthly things were doomed, bought a new wardrobe, packed it in a steel trunk, asked her friends to strap her to the top of the trunk to ensure that she and her clothes would enter the pearly gates at the same time, and that she, being so well dressed, would be the envy of every woman in heaven.” (tenderbytes.net) Such shows what fools false religion makes us out to be. Whether it is the twisting of scripture to our own destruction regarding when the second coming is or the nature of heaven (2 Pet. 3:16). Or the repudiation of the scriptures and the twisting of the data in the earth to create the false religion of evolution makes men out to be just as foolish. What we need is to look intently into God's word and then seek how to do it with good and honest hearts and a good an honest habit.

In all of our advancements have we provided a solution to death? NO! Just as sure as death is a historical and present reality, so Jesus was a part of earth history. He once lived here and “was offered” (as a sacrifice) “to bear the sins of many” referring to His death. Now the Hebrew writer moves on to future history as well. He refers to two things awaiting. [CLICK] 1. The judgment of men (v. 27). It is taught that in this judgment there is a reward for the righteous. He calls it “salvation.” These are those who eagerly wait for him”. They are like the 5 wise virgins in Matthew 25:1-10 (note “ready” v. 10). 2. [CLICK] The second future event mentioned is the “second time” for the Lord’s appearance. Note that the judgment of men (v. 27) corresponds with the second appearance (v. 28). They happen simultaneously. Salvation is given at this time with judgment.

(1 Tes 4:17) The crowned moment, the pinacle and acme moment of history will be when we see the beautiful face of Jesus. The one that we have studied in our Bibles and learned his character. The one whom we had come to love and know from what is written will appear whom we shall all meet. I cannot imagine a time being better than this. We will not be thinking then of all that we suffered for Christ. Rather it will be how glorious and awesome the King really is. How far and limited our minds were from truly perceiving His greatness!

There will be nothing hidden from him.

16 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9 "Porque es justo delante de Dios pagar con tribulación a los que os atribulan, y a vosotros que sois atribulados, daros reposo con nosotros, cuando se manifieste el Señor Jesús desde el cielo con los ángeles de su poder, en llama de fuego, para dar retribución a los que no conocieron a Dios, ni obedecen al evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo; los cuales sufrirán pena de eterna perdición, excluidos de la presencia del Señor y de la gloria de su poder," It is clear that the Bible only sees two classes of people. These classes are NOT distinguished by gender, skin color, rich or poor, tall or short. Rather there is one group that is going to receive “rest” and the other group that is going to receive tribulation (consisting of flaming fire and being banished from God). The two groups are discriminated against by “knowing” and “obeying” the gospel. If you know of God but haven’t obeyed, then you are in the group who will be punished. If you don’t know Jesus or are ignorant of him, you are in the group that is punished. However, if you know him and “are known by him” in obeying the gospel then you will be given rest. (NKJV)

17 ¿Quiénes serán “SALVOS” de la 2da Venida?

Y él les dijo: Esforzaos a entrar por la puerta angosta; porque os digo que muchos procurarán entrar, y no podrán." (Luc 13:23-24) Who are the saved? Can we know? Are we left to our own imagination to figure it out? [CLICK] You can also think of the remnant who were saved in Noah’s world 1Pe 3:20 “who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.” This is the strange thing about the second coming. Almost everyone thinks they are saved but Jesus said only a few will be. Many even seek but few are able. This doesn’t mean that one should grow discouraged and give up. What it means is that you must be willing to “strive to enter. This word “Strive” is defined as: 1) to enter a contest: contend in the gymnastic games 2) to contend with adversaries, fight 3) metaph. to contend, struggle, with difficulties and dangers 4) to endeavour with strenuous zeal, strive: to obtain something (Online Bible Greek Lexicon)

18 ¿Quiénes serán “SALVOS” de la 2da Venida?
Aunque no lo crea, muy pocos. Todos aquellos que creyeron y baut "El que creyere y fuere bautizado, será salvo; mas el que no creyere, será condenado." (Mar 16:16) El bautismo precede al “arrepentimiento” y “la confesion ” (Hch 2:38; 8:36-38) In regards to any who were saved after the cross of Christ, they were believers who submitted into baptism. These saved ones are the ones who rejected the majority of the religious thought today that reduces baptism to some all but irrelevant right.

21 The 2nd coming of Christ is the “end of days
The 2nd coming of Christ is the “end of days.” Jesus refers to it as the “last day.” Joh 12:48 "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. Time will no longer exist then as it exists now. If the Lord permits, this day will end and have another take its place. What is broke today can be fixed tomorrow. What is built today can also be destroyed tomorrow. What is troubling to you today will pass tomorrow and so on. But on that “last day” there will no longer be anymore "tomorrows;" no more changes of beginnings to end. . .no more sunrises to sunsets. What is done then is what will be done and our eternity will be sealed. We will inherit the place we have chosen. You know, we chose that place here! Our day in eternity is really decided by the choices we make here. Surely God has given us the "word" and “days” of life here to decide and determine the makeup, the constitution and composition of that great and last day as it pertains to our soul. What will the word judge you as on that last day?
