2 - MENTE In English adverbs tell when, how, or how much. Many end in –LY (rapidly, easily). In Spanish, adverbs can be formed by adding –mente to the singular form of an adjective. Ejemplo:serio  seria  If the adjective has an accent, so does the adverb. Ejemplo:rápido  rápida  where, how long feminine seriamente rápidamente

3 Change these adjectives to adverbs using – mente. Then translate to English. 7 The nosotros form of –IR verbs is the same in the preterit & the present tense. Look for clues in the sentence to help you decide what tense the verb is. 9 DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVES AND PRONOUNS ~ In English, the demonstratives and are used to point out specific things or people. ~ A demonstrative can be an or a and it agrees with the noun it describes or replaces in and ~ DEMONSTRATIVES indicate where something is. They are used to show if something is or from the speaker. this, these, that those adjective pronoun number gender. CLOSE TO, NOT AS CLOSE TO FAR AWAY

14 DEMONSTRATIVE PRONOUNS Demonstrative pronouns take the of nouns. (Remember the demonstrative adjective describes the noun.) They also agree in & with the noun they REPLACE. ALL demonstrative pronouns have but there is no change in pronunciation. PLACE NUMBER GENDER ACCENTS
