We’ve used the INDICATIVE MOOD to speak in the present and past (preterite) tenses.

Here are some phrases that you will use to express hopes, wishes and wants:

Making Verbs in the Subjunctive: Take the “yo” form of present tense Drop the “-o” Add the opposite ending(s): -ar verbs-er/-ir verbs -e-emos-a-amos -es-as -e-en-a-an

Watch Out for These Irregulars... ser → sea, seas sea, seamos, sean estar → esté, estés, esté estemos, estén saber → sepa, sepas, sepa, sepamos, sepan dar → dé, des, dé, demos, den ir → vaya, vayas, vaya, vayamos, vayan
