2 tener que + infinitive =
“Have to…” I have to study. = Tengo que estudiar. We have to cook. = Tenemos que cocinar.

3 Tengo que levantarme a las ocho. Tenemos que levantarnos a las ocho.
When using reflexive verbs with this formula, make sure to CHANGE THE PRONOUN on the end of the infinitive: Tengo que levantarme a las ocho. Tenemos que levantarnos a las ocho. Mi papá tiene que levantarse a las ocho.

4 Práctica I have to go to bed at 9:00. We have to wake up at 6:30. I have to go to Spanish Class at 10:00.

5 Práctica I wash my hands. I have to wash my hands. We shave. We have to shave.

6 “to have just finished doing something”
“Acabar de” = “to have just finished doing something” Conjugate “acabar” to the present tense, followed by an infinitive: Acabo de comer. Acabo de vestirme. Acabamos de hablar.

7 Práctica: I have just finished showering. We have just finished writing. You have just finished brushing your teeth.

8 Para = “in order to” Antes de = “before” Después de = “after”
You can use an INFINITIVE after these phrases. Para = “in order to” Antes de = “before” Después de = “after” Tengo que levantarme temprano para estudiar. Tengo que ir a la biblioteca para leer. Voy a secarme después de ducharme.

9 Práctica I have to wash my hands before eating. We have to shower before going to bed. Do you have to brush your teeth before going to school?
