Even though we may tell someone, command that someone or suggest that someone do something, IT DOESN’T MEAN THAT THEY WILL. These expressions require the subjunctive.

16 The advice, the suggestion, the command and/or the order come in the main clause and are conjugated in the indicative. What is being advised, suggested or mandated comes after “que” and requires the subjunctive.
