Imperfect – Age and feelings (tener and estar) Ella estaba triste. Yo tenía tres años. Teníamos hambre. – location (estar) Ella estaba en la biblioteca.

5 Other Verbs With Meaning Changes Conocer – Imperfect-to know who somebody was. Mario conocía a Susana.- Mario knew Susana. – Preterite-to have MET someone for the first time. Mario conoció a Susana.-Mario met Susana
