10 Commands To tell a friend to do something, use informal tú commands. They are the same conjugation as the él, ella, usted conjugation of a verb in the present tense. Ejemplo: Dance!  ¡Baila!

11 Commands To tell a friend NOT to do something, use informal negative tú commands They take the opposite ending as the present tense form For example, bailas = no bailes Comes= no comas “as”  “es” and “es”  “as”

12 Practiquemos Task: Command a friend to walk El verbo = caminar Caminas is the statement “you are walking” ¡Camina! Is the command, Walk!

13 Task: Command a friend to practice El verbo = practicar ¡Practica!

14 Task: Command a friend to stretch Verb= estirarse Problem=estirarse is reflexive, what does this mean? Affirmative=¡Estírate! (te is attached to the end) Negative=¡No te estires!

(instead of practices) Jugar  ¡No juegues! (instead of jueges) Almorzar  ¡No almuerces! (instead of almuerzes) Car, gar, zar goes to ques, gues, ces
