Putting it all together The object pronouns are placed in front of the conjugated verb. Ellos dan la invitacion. Ellos la dan. Hablo a ti. Te hablo. When an IOP an DOP are in the same sentence, the IOP comes before the DOP. Ella da el regalo a nosotros. Ella nos lo da.

The LL Rule When you have double object pronouns, you cannot have 2 “L” words together. You can’t use le/les with lo, la, los, or las. The le/les must be changed to se. Ella dio el regalo a él. Le lo dio. (double L) Se lo dio. Voy a dar los juguetes a mis hermanos. Les los voy a dar. (double L) Se los voy a dar./Voy a dárselos.
