6 Becas para colombianos en el exterior Las becas son ayudas financieras no reembolsables otorgadas por Gobiernos, Organismos internacionales e instituciones de educación superior extranjeras, destinadas a cubrir en forma parcial o total los costos de formación, perfeccionamiento o actualización. El ICETEX recibe y administra la oferta de becas de los diferentes cooperantes con el fin de elaborar los términos de referencia y los parámetros de evaluación del proceso de preselección de los estudiantes. 10 Programa de Reciprocidad para extranjeros en Colombia

11 Becas de Posgrado para Extranjeros en Colombia El Gobierno de Colombia, a través del ICETEX, ofrece becas para estudios de especialización, maestría y doctorado a estudiantes extranjeros provenientes de países cooperantes y sobre bases de reciprocidad. 12 Becas de Posgrado para Extranjeros en Colombia Desde el año 2005 se ha incrementado el arribo de estudiantes extranjeros al país, gracias a que los programas académicos han ganado prestigio internacional. En los últimos cinco años se han beneficiado 322 estudiantes extranjeros con becas otorgadas por el ICETEX US$525.000 Presupuesto Año 2010 US$1.124.327 Inversión últimos 4 años

13 Profesores Invitados El Instituto cofinancia, junto con la institución de educación superior, los gastos de pasajes o los viáticos del experto invitado, según la elección de la institución de educación. El ICETEX, en asocio con las Universidades colombianas, financia la participación de expertos internacionales en programas de Posgrado como Maestrías y Doctorados que vengan al país a realizar aportes significativos a estos programas, teniendo como objetivo fortalecer la internacionalización de la educación superior en Colombia.

14 Profesores Invitados Proyectado 380 Desde el año 2007 se ha incrementado el arribo de Profesores y Expertos internacionales al país, gracias a que las Instituciones de Educación Superior son conscientes de la importancia de la internacionalización de la educación. 15 Programas de Apoyo al Bilingüismo Proyectado 380 El Programa de Intercambio de Asistentes de Idiomas, contribuye al mejoramiento de la enseñanza de idiomas extranjeros en Colombia y del español en otros países. Fomenta el conocimiento mutuo de aspectos académicos, lingüísticos y culturales entre los países.

16 Programas de Apoyo al Bilingüismo Proyectado 380 El centro docente colombiano otorga un subsidio de manutención mensual correspondiente a: 750 USD = 540 El ICETEX cubre una póliza de seguro de salud y los gastos de estadía en Bogotá del asistente durante el curso de inducción. El programa se desarrolla a través de convenios que ha suscrito el ICETEX con la Comisión Fulbright, la Embajada de Francia en Colombia, la Universidad de las West Indies, el Consejo Británico y el Gobierno de la República Popular de China. Cada año, el ICETEX realiza la invitación a las instituciones educativas colombianas que cuentan con un centro de idiomas para que participen en el Programa y conjuntamente con el Gobierno o Institución extranjera, se asignan los asistentes de cada país en los centros docentes que han manifestado interés de vincularse al Programa.

18 Estrategias de Cooperación

19 Proyectado 380 Establecer convenios de cooperación educativa para generar movilidad académica a nivel de posgrado entre estudiantes de los dos países, así como de docentes e investigadores. Implementar y fortalecer el Programa Profesores Invitados que ofrece ICETEX, para facilitar la movilidad de investigadores y expertos a Universidades colombianas para generar proyectos de investigación conjuntos, así como la organización de seminarios, conferencias, workshops, entre otros. Ofrecer a ciudadanos de otros países las becas para Extranjeros en Colombia para adelantar estudios de posgrado en Universidades colombianas

20 Estrategias de Cooperación Proyectado 380 Buscamos promover la participación de Docentes y Científicos colombianos en Misiones académicas a universidades y centros de investigación internacionales, con el propósito de conocer los avances en distintos campos (educativo, científico, técnico o tecnológico) para posteriormente aplicarlos en el país. Misiones Académicas Estas Misiones permiten que la organización sea por grupos interdisciplinarios, lo cual facilita la interlocución, negociación y concreción de diferentes temas para trabajar conjuntamente entre los dos países.

26 Scholarships for Colombians abroad The international scholarships are non-refundable financial aids granted by Governments, International Organizations and Higher Education Institutions, in order to cover partially or totally the tuition fees for different postgraduate programs. ICETEX is the Institution that receives and administers all the scholarship programs offered by the different partners. The Call for Applications and the evaluation criteria are prepared in conjunction by ICETEX and the cooperating institution. 33 Invited Teachers The Institute co-finances, along with the Colombian University, the expenses of international tickets or travel allowance of the expert invited, according to the election of the institution of higher education. In partnership with Colombian Universities, ICETEX finances the participation of international experts in Post-graduate programs as Masters and PhDs to come to Colombia to make significant contributions to these programs, with the aim to foment and to fortify the quality of the higher education in Colombia.

35 Language Assistant Program Proyectado 380 The program is developed by agreements subscribed by the ICETEX with governments and institutions in order to encourage bilingualism in Colombia and other countries. The program promotes the mutual knowledge of academic, linguistic, and cultural aspects between countries.

36 Language Assistant Program Proyectado 380 The Colombian teaching institution subscribes an agreement with the assistant by an academic year and grants a subsidy of monthly living expenses corresponding to 750 USD = 540 Euros ICETEX gives a health insurance and the live expenses while the stay in Bogota of the assistant during the induction course. Every year, ICETEX invites Colombian educative institutions with a languages center, so that they participate jointly in the Program. The governments or institutions assigns the assistants of each country in the teaching institutions that have showed interest to tie to the Program.

39 Proyectado 380 Establishment of agreements related to education cooperation between ICETEX and institutions of higher education, in order to generate academic mobility in post graduated programs between Colombian students and international students, teachers and researchers as well. In order to improve and promote partnership, ICETEX offers the program of Invited Teachers, which promotes the mobility of researchers and experts to different Colombian universities, to generate research projects, seminars, conferences, workshops, etc. Offer full scholarships to international students to undergo postgraduate studies in Colombian universities.
