Windows Movie Maker (formerly known as Windows Live Movie Maker, codenamed Sundance) is a freeware video editing software by Microsoft. It is a part of Windows Essentials software suite and offers the ability to create and edit videos as well as to publish them on SkyDrive, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr. Movie Maker 1.0 to 2.5. The first release of Windows Movie Maker was included with Windows ME in 2000, but it was not available in Windows 2000, which was released months before Windows ME. Version 1.1 was included in Windows XP a year later, and included support for creating DV AVI and WMV 8 files. Version 2.0 was released as a free update in November 2002, and added a number of new features. Version 2.1, a minor update, is included in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 introduced a new version of Windows Movie Maker, 2.5, with more transitions and support for DVD burning. Movie Maker 6.0. Microsoft released version 6.0 of Windows Movie Maker as part of Windows Vista, and included new effects and transitions, and support for the DVR-MS file format that Windows Media Center records television in. The HD version in Premium and Ultimate editions of Windows Vista also added support for capturing from HDV camcorders. The capture wizard also created DVR-MS type files from HDV tapes. However, the Windows Vista version of Windows Movie Maker removed support for importing video from an analog video source such as an analog camcorder, VCR or from a webcam. As some older systems might not be able to run the new version of Windows Movie Maker, Microsoft also released an updated older version 2.6 for Windows Vista on Microsoft Download Center. This version included the old effects and transitions, and is basically the same as Windows Movie Maker 2.1, but without the ability to capture video. Installation requires Windows Vista and is only intended for use on computers where the hardware accelerated version cannot be run. A Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) version of Windows Movie Maker was also included in some builds of Windows "Longhorn" (now Windows Vista), but was removed in the development reset in August 2004. windows-movie-maker.softonic.com/
iTunes is a media player and media library application developed by Apple Inc. It is used to play, download, and organize digital audio and video on personal computers running the OS X operating system and the iOS -based iPod, iPhone, and iPad devices, with editions also released for Microsoft Windows. Through the iTunes Store, users can purchase and download music, music videos, television shows, iPod games, audiobooks, podcasts, movies and movie rentals in some countries, and ringtones, available on the iPhone and iPod Touch (fourth generation onward.) Application software for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch can be downloaded from the App Store. iTunes has been criticized for not being able to transfer music from one portable device to another. iTunes 11 is the most recent version of iTunes, available for Mac OS X v10.6.8 or later, as well as Windows XP or later. It was released on November 29, 2012, one month later than expected, due to a delay by Apple saying that they needed extra time to get it right Music www.apple.com/mx/itunes/download/
Google Play, formerly known as the Android Market, is a digital application distribution platform for Android developed and maintained by Google. The service allows users to browse and download music, magazines, books, movies, television programs, and applications that were published through Google. Applications are available either for free or at a cost, and they can be downloaded directly to an Android or Google TV device through the Play Store or onto a personal computer via its website. These applications are generally targeted to users based on a particular hardware attribute of their device, such as a motion sensor (for motion- dependent games) or a front-facing camera (for online video calling). On March 6, 2012, with the merging of the Android Market and Google Music, the service was renamed Google Play to coincide with the rebranding of Google's digital distribution strategy. play.google.com/
Prezi is a cloud-based (SaaS) presentation software and storytelling tool for exploring and sharing ideas on a virtual canvas. Prezi is distinguished by its Zooming User Interface (ZUI), which enables users to zoom in and out of their presentation media. Prezi allows users to display and navigate through information within a 2.5D space on the Z-axis. Prezi was officially established in 2009 by co-founders Adam Somlai-Fischer, Peter Halacsy and Peter Arvai. Adam Somlai-Fischer, an architect and visual artist, began using presentations with a zoomable interface in 2001, but each presentation was coded separately. In 2007, Budapest University of Technology assistant professor Peter Halacsy convinced Somlai- Fischer to develop a publicly available ZUI editor. After creating a prototype, they recruited a third entrepreneur, Peter Arvai, to join as CEO to help launch the product and company. Prezi was launched in April 2009 from Budapest, leading to an investment from TED Conferences and Sunstone Capital. prezi.com/
