5 Subject Pronouns What are subject pronouns?
Subject pronouns are used in Spanish to state who you are talking about. Example: Maria es aburrida. (Ella) Yo (is used when talking about yourself) Tú (means you in English) El (He), Ella (She), Usted (Formal of you) Nosotros (We) Vosotros (as) Only used in Spain and means you Ellas (they female), Ellos ( they male), Ustedes (formall way of saying you)

6 Verbs Stem and root of a Spanish verb
The stem of the verb is the –ar, -er, -ir ending. The root word is anything that comes before the ending. Hacer Poner Cocinar Comer Bailar Vivir Masticar Sacar Cubrir

7 Remember Regular present tense verbs (there is no change in the root word) Comer Yo +o= como Tú +es = comes Él/Ella/Usted +e = come Nosotros + emos = comemos Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes + en = comen
