1 The Punishment Periods of Judah and Israel (Ezekiel 4:1-8)
And the “Seventieth Week” of Daniel (Daniel 9:27)

2 The Punishment Period of the Southern Kingdom of Judah
The amount of time that Elohim will set His face against Judah is 390 years + 40 years = 430 years. This is described in Ezekiel 4:1-8:

6 In Leviticus 26, Elohim states that He is going to punish Israel (Israel was not a divided kingdom at this time) for their disobedience to His Torah (instructions). When He punishes them, if they still do not turn back to Him and His Torah, He will multiply their punishment times “seven.”

12 Judah was punished for seventy years in Babylon
Judah was punished for seventy years in Babylon. Daniel knew this was the timeframe they would be captive in Babylon because Jeremiah had prophesied it Jeremias 29:10 Porque así ha dicho Jehovah: "Cuando según mi dicho se cumplan setenta años para Babilonia, os visitaré con mi favor y os cumpliré mi buena promesa de haceros regresar a este lugar.

13 Elohim punished Judah just as He promised
Elohim punished Judah just as He promised. He gave them seventy years of captivity and suffering in Babylon. Judah was then told to return to Jerusalem several times. But only a small fraction of the people obeyed. Since the majority of the people still disobeyed Him, He multiplied the remainder of their punishment by “seven.” This gave them a punishment period of: 430 years – 70 years = 360 years 360 years x 7 = 2520 (Biblical) years

14 Converting the punishment period of Judah to solar years:
(2520 Biblical years) x (360 days/Biblical Year)/ days/Solar Year) = Solar Years. Cyrus the Great conquered Babylon in 536 B.C. and offered to pay for millions of Jews to return to Jerusalem.

16 The multiplied Punishment Period for the Southern Kingdom of Judah began in the month of Nisan in 536 BC. That would be approximately BC. The punishment period for Judah is Solar Years. BC = Add one year because there is no year “0” The end of the punishment period of Judah was in This would have been precisely on May 14-15, This is the day that Israel was declared a nation once again. Elohim no longer has His face turned against Judah.

17 On May 14, the British Mandate expired
On May 14, the British Mandate expired. The State of Israel declared itself as an independent nation, and was quickly recognized by the Soviet Union, the United States, and many other countries. The success of the Israeli army was truly miraculous…

18 The Arabs had clear superiority in heavy arms and firepower
The Arabs had clear superiority in heavy arms and firepower. The ordnance on May 15 were as follows: Tanks: 1 w/o cannon to the IDF vs 40 to the Arabs. Armored cars (w/ cannon): 2 to the IDF vs 200 to the Arabs. Armored cars (w/o cannon): 120 to the IDF vs 300 to the Arabs. Artillery: 5 to the IDF vs 140 to the Arabs. AA and AT guns: 24 to the IDF vs 220 to the Arabs. Warplanes: 0 to the IDF vs 74 to the Arabs. Scout planes: 28 to the IDF vs 57 to the Arabs. Navy (armed ships): 3 to the IDF vs 12 to the Arabs. 19 The Punishment Period of the Northern Kingdom of Israel
The amount of time that Elohim will set His face against Israel is 390 years. This is given in Ezekiel 4:1-5, as previously mentioned. The Northern Kingdom never repented. Their punishment was also multiplied by seven as promised in Levitucus 26.

20 390 years x 7 = 2730 years (Biblical years)
2730 Biblical years (360/ ) = solar years

21 When did Elohim set His face against the Northern Kingdom of Israel?

22 Hoshea ( ) and the end Hoshea immediately surrendered the Northern Kingdom to Shalmeneser V (some think this was Shalmaneser IV), the new king of Assyria, and paid tribute (2 Kings 17:1-3). This action probably saved Samaria from destruction, at least for a while, but only put the Northern Kingdom more firmly in the grasp of the Assyrians. (cont.)

23 There was no doubt still a faction within Israel that wanted independence. While Hoshea had acted to save what remained of the nation, he eventually saw what he thought was an opportunity to break free of Assyrian control. He made an alliance with Egypt, thinking he could rely on them for military assistance, and withheld tribute from Assyria (2 Kings 17:4). But Egypt at this time was weak and was worthless as a military ally. Shalmeneser’s army attacked the reduced Israelite Kingdom in 724, captured most of the land, and took Hoshea prisoner.

24 Old Testament History Assyrian Dominance (745 BC - 640 BC)
Only Samaria remained. It was besieged for 3 years, and was finally taken in 721 (2 Kings 17:5-6). The city was destroyed, the northern Kingdom transformed into a province of the Assyrian Empire, a number of the people taken as prisoners or exiles to Assyria, and other people resettled in the captured territory (2 Kings 17:24-34). 25 724 BC solar years brings us to 1967, the time of the “Six Day War” when Israel took back Jerusalem. This was another miraculous victory for Israel.

26 The Stunning Victory After just six days of fighting, Israeli forces broke through the enemy lines and were in a position to march on Cairo, Damascus and Amman. A ceasefire was invoked on June 10. By the end of the war, Israel had conquered enough territory to more than triple the size of the area it controlled, from 8,000 to 26,000 square miles. The victory enabled Israel to unify Jerusalem. Israeli forces had also captured the Sinai, Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and West Bank.

27 What does the Punishment Period of Israel have to do with the Seventieth Week of Daniel?

33  Islam was founded in 622 AD by Mohammed the Prophet, in the "Hegira", "Hijra", flight or migration from Mecca to Medina, Arabia, and marks the beginning of Islam and the Muslim calendar.     According to the Islamic calendar, the year “0” is the year 622 AD. That is the year Muhammad converted his first group of followers and started the Islamic faith.

34 (Dan 9:27 NASB) "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering (the Abomation of Desolation); and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate (Muhammad & the Islam religion), even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."

35 (Dan 9:27 NASB) "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate." “Even until a complete destruction….” The Muslim Empire will be in power until the very end where they will meet their destruction at the return of Messiah.
