Pecan processing facility. 50-70 metric tons of shells / year could be turned into Organic pecan Shell Charcoal.

6 a.Pirolisis concluye luego de 4 horas. Se cubre el cilindro con una tapa para mantener el calor e inducir un lento enfriamiento del carbón. b.Al día siguiente se obtienen 10 Kg. de carbón. El peso original se redujo en un 50% a.Pyrolysis finishes after about 4 hours. A funnel shaped cover is placed on top of the drum to retain heat and allow a slow cooling. b.Next day 10 Kg. 7 CONCLUSION a.Costo de producción de 1 Kg. de carbón de pecana es aprox. S/. 3.00 b.Se sugiere rediseñar hornos para operación a mayor volumen reduciendo costos de mano de obra y menor uso de leña por cada Kg. de carbón producido. c.Potencial demanda y mercado para este tipo de producto requiere ser investigado. a.Current production costs U.S. $ 1.00 per kilogram. b.This suggests the need for improved designs of ovens for large scale operations using less lumber and labour per produced kilogram of charcoal. c.Potential demand and markets for this kind of product need to be investigated S/. $.$.$.$.
