Gigabyte está en el marcado un más agresivo que el ASUS lo que se refiere a la comercialización de tarjetas de gama baja, especialmente a las micro-ATX placa madres. 8 A pesar de que han existido desde 1986, Biostar nunca ha ganado la misma reputación que las otras marcas de placas madres. No es por falta de intentarlo o la falta de buenos productos, porque sin duda Biostar tiene ambas cosas. De hecho, a mediados de gama de placas madre Biostar son muy competitivos, ya que suelen llevar las mismas características que otras marcas, pero cuestan menos. 11 ASUS es conocida por su alta calidad de las placas base
Un veterano de la escena de la placa base, ASUS ha sido fundada por ex –trabajadores de Acer en 1990 y ha ganado una sólida reputación es una de las marcas que más vende el mercado . Si le preguntas a ciegas de la placa base de una recomendación en los foros de la mayoría del hardware que usted encontrará que muchas de las recomendaciones de un consejo de ASUS. ASUS es una marca excelente que parece haber una baja tasa de fracasos. Igual de importante, tienen excelentes diseños placa base. Las placas Asus siempre tienen  ranuras de expansión, los puertos SATA, y las conexiones que se hicieron en los lugares más convenientes. ASUS es también conocido por el envío de su madre con un BIOS bien ejecutado. Usted tiene que pagar por la calidad, sin embargo, como las placas Asus tienden a estar entre los más caros para cualquier chipset determinado.
