2 El padre nuestro  Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo, santificado sea tu nombre; venga a nosotros tu reino; hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo.  Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día; perdona nuestras ofensas, como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden; no nos dejes caer en la tentación y líbranos del mal. Amen.

3 Welcome Students іBienvenidos estudiantes!  I will introduce you to the Spanish Class  If you have any questions during my presentation, please raise your hand and wait to be called on.

4 My Goals  To develop positive attitudes and excitement toward learning the Spanish language.  To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment.

5 Themes = Temas Vocabulary= vocabulario  Study and practice basic vocabulary such as: greetings, commands, feelings, days, months and seasons, numbers, colors, shapes. Family, pets, sports and food.

6 PRAYERS AND MUSIC Oraciones y música  You should know: La señal de la cruz, el Padrenuestro, el avemaría.  There will be some songs or chants such as: Happy birthday, Christmas carols and praise song s.

7 Folders (folderes)  Each student must have a two pockets folder.  Work must be neat and legible.  Folders will be checked for seatwork, homework or handouts (Folders will be kept in the student’s classrooms for control, parents-teacher conferences, and for anytime parents request them.

8 AWARDS  Principal’s Spanish Reading Achievement Award  Spanish Emergent Reader: read 4 mini- books

9 Behavior Expectations Conducta/Disciplina  Follow all OMOS discipline polices  Respectful Spanish prayers (respetar)  Wait for your turn to speak (esperar turno)  No playing (no jugar)  No talking (no hablar)  No passing papers (no pasar papeles)  Note: There will be a Behavior and Consequences Chart.

10 Discipline Disciplina and y consequences consecuencias There will be consequences for any action violating the behavioral expectation: 1. Non-verbal warning 2. Verbal warning. 3. Verbal warning with separation in class.
