Generalidades del Sistema Tegumentario
Se origina a partir del Ectodermo y Mesodermo embrionario Representa entre el 6 al 15 % del peso corporal (3-10 kg) Mide de 1,5 a 2 m² de extensión

Funciones del Sistema Tegumentario
Determina la forma del cuerpo Actúa como barrera (mecánica, química, física, etc.) Tiene función defensiva y reparativa Participa en la regulación térmica corporal Colabora en el equilibrio del agua Presenta una alta sensorialidad Secreción y absorción de diversos productos Organo de comunicación
