3   Commands (Mandatos) are used to tell someone what to do.  Wash the dishes.  Do your homework.  Those are examples of affirmative or positive commands.  Affirmative means to tell someone to do something as opposed to telling them NOT to do something. ¿Por qué se los usan?

4   Affirmative or positive tú commands are used when you are telling someone that you know well what to do. + tú commands

5   To conjugate + tú commands:  Take the 3rd person singular form of the verb in the present tense. (For regular verbs)  Ejemplos:  ¡Lava los platos!  ¡Limpia tu cuarto!  ¡Da de comer al perro! Conjugación

6   Haz -- Hacer  Ten -- Tener  Ven -- Venir  Di -- Decir  Sal -- Salir  Pon -- Poner  Sé -- Ser Los irregulares

7   ¡Haz la tarea! = Do the homework!  ¡Di la verdad! = Tell the truth!  ¡Ten cuidado! = Be careful!  ¡Sal de aquí! = Leave here!  ¡Pon la mesa! = Set the table!  ¡Ven acá! = Come here!  ¡Sé bueno/a! = Be good! Algunos ejemplos

8   Pronouns (Direct, Indirect or Reflexive) ALWAYS go on THE END of an affirmative command.  Ejemplos:  ¡Mándame la tarjeta! = Send me the card! (IOP)  ¡Lávate las manos! = Wash your hands! (RP)  ¡Dame el libro! = Give me the book! (IOP)  ¡Ponte la camisa negra! = Put on the black shirt! (RP)  ¡Cómpralo! = Buy it! (DOP) Placement of Pronouns
