6  How do we form the past tense in English?  Add –ed  Today I talk. (present tense)  Yesterday I talked.(past tense)  In this semester you will learn the preterite and the imperfect tense. (both are past tenses)

7  The preterite tense in Spanish tells what happened at a particular moment in the past.  (completed action in the past)  Some key words for the preterite tense:  Ayer  Anoche  El año pasado  La semana pasada  El fin de semana pasado  Anteayer
