Demonstrative pronouns replace demonstrative adjectives. Ejemplo: Estos libros son buenos. These books are good. Estos son buenos. These are good.

A possessive pronoun REPLACES A NOUN that is modified by a possessive adjective! Example: Yo tengo mi mono. Tengo el mío. (I have mine.)
