4 Commands • Commands are when you tell someone to do something
• We will focus on “tú” because it’s most practical • To make an affirmative tú command, you use the third person (él, ella, usted) singular form of the verb in the present tense. ▫Ex: Hablar --> Habla ▫Ex: Comer --> Come ▫Ex: Subir → Sube

There are only a few irregular commands: Hacer → Haz (Make/Do) Salir → Sal (Leave) Ser → Sé (Be) Tener → Ten (Have) Ir → Ve (Go) Venir → Ven (Come) Decir → Di (Say) Poner → Pon (Put)

8 Práctica #2 Look at the recipe below and change underlined verbs into the command form of the verb. Only write the verbs. When you finish, translate the recipe. Cortar el pollo en pedazos y poner el pollo en una sartén con aceite y ajo (garlic). Cocinar el pollo hasta que esté dorado (golden). Poner la pasta en una olla grande con agua hirviendo (boiling). Dejar la pasta cocinar por diez minutos. Mezlcar la pasta con el pollo y con salsa alfredo en un cuenco grande. Si quieres, añadir un vegetal como el brócoli o la zanahoria. Comer y tener un cena deliciosa. Decir “buen apetito” a tus invitados.
