Negative expressions Negative expressions in Spanish go either before or after the verb. If they are placed after the verb, place no before the verb also. No salgo nunca durante la semana.

Nada and nadie When nada and nadie are subjects, they are placed before the verb. They can otherwise follow the verb or the preposition of which they are the object. Use the personal a with nadie when it’s the object of a verb. subject precedes verb object follows verb Nadie juega mejor que yo. No quiero hacer nada. No conozco a nadie aquí.

Ninguno(a) Use ninguno and ninguna to say none, not (a single) one.
They are generally used in the singular and match the noun they describe in gender.

Ninguno(a) Ninguno and ninguna can stand alone, or they can go before a noun. If ninguno(a) follows the verb in the sentence, place no before the verb. ¿Cuántas estampillas de Costa Rica tienes? No tengo ninguna.

Ninguno(a) Ninguno changes to ningún before a masculine singular noun.
Tengo dos pósters de Perú pero no tengo ningún póster de España.
