What if I have a DOP and an IOP in the same sentence?
4
Where do I put them?
5
Location of DOP and IOP:
Follow the same rules as you learned with them on their own: One verb: DOP and IOP go in front of the conjugated verb Two verbs working together: DOP and IOP can either go before the conjugated verb or on the end of the second verb/present participle. NOTE: If you have both DOP and IOP in the sentence together they MUST stick together – you cannot put one before the conjugated verb and one at the end of the second verb.

What about word order?

R.I.D. You don’t need to worry about Reflexive pronouns quite yet, but if you have more than one pronoun of these pronouns working in a sentence you follow the R.I.D order for the pronouns: Reflexive, Indirect, Direct Note: If you have 2 pronouns added to the end of an infinitive or present participle you need to add an accent. For infinitives it goes on the vowel in the ending and for present participles it goes on the a of –ando or e of –iendo. Examples: Ustedes me lo dan. Nosotros te lo decimos. Ellos quieren decírmelo. Ustedes están diciéndomelo.
