2 Usted Commands In Spanish, the placement of pronouns depends on whether a command is affirmative or negative. Let’s look at how to formulate affirmative usted commands…

3 Affirmative Commands In affirmative commands, you attach object pronouns to the end of the verb. Ejemplos: Hay que mezclar los ingredientes…mézclelos, por favor. Te gusta la comida…Pruébela, por favor. Lléveme al supermercado, por favor. Note that when a pronoun is attached to an affirmative command of two syllables or more, the stressed vowel carries a written accent…

4 Many Spanish conjugated verbs carry the stress on the 2nd to the last syllable…
Words that end in a vowel, n, or s carry the stress on the penultimate syllable: Como (comer el pastel) Saco (sacar la basura) Hago (hacer las camas) Lavo (lavar los platos) Pongo (poner la mesa)

5 Follow these steps: Step 1: Conjugate to the yo form
Step 2: Drop the o and add the corresponding ending: e (ar ending verbs) a (er or ir ending verbs) Step 3: Find the stressed syllable. Step 4: Attach the pronoun and add the accent. Cocinar la comida (cocino) Comer el churro (como) Cocin + e = Cocine Com + a = Coma Cocine Coma Cocínela Cómalo
