17 IRREGULAR “YO” VERB-SABER PRESENT TENSE
saber=to know (facts) sé sabemos sabes sabe saben Ex. Ella sabe la dirreción de Melissa.

18 CONOCER VS. SABER Do you know Sarah? She has to do her homework.
We know that (ese) book. We have to translate the book for homework. Does the smart girl know his name (nombre)? I don’t know!

19 SABER + INFINITIVE Do you know how to use it?

20 saber + Infinitive When you want to say someone “knows how to do something” in Spanish, you use: saber + infinitive Conjugate saber and leave the infinitive alone. Ex. Jill sabe conducir muy bien.

21 saber + Infinitive Now you try. Write the following in Spanish in your notebook and finish for homework: Juan knows how to speak Spanish. We know how to cook very well. Why doesn’t he know how to speak French? You-all know how to play the piano. Do you (Ud.) know how to drive? Who (sing.) knows how to do the homework? I know how to translate English to Spanish.
