Play once using the definite articles and once using the indefinite articles. Use your book (pg. 124/125 or 144) if you need extra support. Ex. “la/una leche” “las/unas galletas” For each food or beverage, express how often you eat or drink the item. “(Yo) como las galletas en vez de cuando.” “(Yo) bebo la leche todos los días.” Place all of the cards out on the desk in front of you. Ask & answer the target questions: “¿Qué bebes para (el desayuno/el almuerzo/la cena)?” “¿Qué comes para (el desayuno/el almuerzo/la cena)?” “¿Con qué frecuencia comes/bebes _______?” “¿Bebes tú ____?” “¿Comes tú ____?”

Abran los libros a p. 126 and 127 Trabajen con sus compañeros en un grupo de cuatro. Hagan las cosas importantes: Read through the story aloud. Translate as you go along and discuss possible meanings of unfamiliar vocabulary. Decode the new vocabulary identified in blue. Work to understand the basic gist of the plot. Reread the story aloud, each person in the group taking one part and acting out the scene. Be ready to discuss!

La primera cosa importante: These verbs use object pronouns instead of subject pronouns. me, you, him, her, us, them I, you, she, he, we, they

The two most commonly used forms of ‘gustar’ and ‘encantar’ are. gusta gustan encanta encantan They are determined by the quantity of what is pleasing to someone. . Singular Plural Me gusta la leche. Me gustan los refrescos. Me encanta la pizza. Me encantan las hamburguesas

10 La tercera cosa importante:
To express you don’t like or love something, simply add the word ‘no’ before the correct form of ‘gustar’ or ‘encantar’. Singular Plural No me gusta la leche. No me gustan los refrescos. No me encanta la pizza. No me encantan las hamburguesas.
