Este es el lago Nakuru, que se encuentra en el centro de Kenia, es el lugar de uno de los fenómenos más extravagantes (y rosa) en el mundo. El lago contiene una gran cantidad de algas y cangrejos, y los que atraen enormes multitudes de Flamencos, tantas que ni siquiera se puede decir que la tierra o el agua está por debajo de ellos, y todo se vuelve ... rosa! This is Lake Nakuru, located in the middle of Kenya, is the location for one of the most extravagant (and pink) phenomenon’s in the world. The lake contains a huge amount of algae and crab, and those attract enormous crowds of Flamingos, so many that you can't even tell where the land or water is under them, and everything becomes... pink! 19/8/2013

El lago es poco profundo y el número de flamencos que visitan depende de la cantidad de alimento y el agua que contiene en la actualidad. The lake is shallow and the number of visiting flamingos is dependent on the amount of food and water it currently contains. 19/8/2013

No sólo los flamencos vienen llamando, sin embargo, también otras aves, babuinos, jabalíes y otros grandes mamíferos. Pero para los visitantes, las cantidades masivas de flamencos rosados son el principal atractivo. Not only flamingos come calling though, also other birds, baboons, warthogs and other big mammals. Por cierto, que obtienen su color rosa de una rica nutrición de las algas, que renueva rápidamente y así satisfacer el hambre de estos flamencos, y les impide vagar lejos.
