2 Add the following definitions:
Conjugation: When you modify a verb so that it agrees with the subject of the sentence. (CONJUGACIÓN) Infinitive: Basic form of a verb; it has not been conjugated yet. In English is it to + a verb. (INFINITIVO)

3 To discuss people in Spanish, you will often use subject pronouns
To discuss people in Spanish, you will often use subject pronouns. When you want to describe a person or explain who he or she is, use the verb ser.

4 Singular Plural soy somos eres sois son es
ser- to be 1st 2nd 3rd yo nosotros(as) I am we are soy somos vosotros(as) you are you are eres sois él, ella, usted ellos, ellas, ustedes they are son he, she, you formal, it is es

5 When Alma introduces Francisco to Arturo, she uses a subject pronoun with ser.
-Él es mi vecino. -He is my neighbor. verb: ser Subject Pronoun

6 Francisco uses other examples.
-Nosotros somos de muchos lugares. -We are from many places. verb: ser Subject Pronoun

7 un or una does not appear before a profession.
If Alma were to say that someone is a neighbor, she would say: Él es un vecino. However, if she were to say that someone is a policeman, she would say: Él es policia. The word un or una does not appear before a profession.

8 nosotros somos Nosotros somos estudiantes.

9 Sofía es Sofia es estudiante.

10 la señora Lear es La señora Lear es maestra.

11 Rebecca y yo somos Nosotras somos amigas.

12 Eva, Mike y Sofía son Eva, Mike y Sofia son amigos.
