2 Londres es la capital y ciudad más grande de Inglaterra en el Reino Unido. De pie en el río Támesis. Londres es una ciudad líder a nivel mundial, con fortalezas en las artes, comercio, educación, entretenimiento, moda, finanzas, servicios profesionales, el turismo y el transporte de todo lo cual contribuye a su prominencia. Es uno de los centros financieros más importantes del mundo. Es la ciudad más visitada del mundo, medido por las llegadas internacionales y cuenta con sistema de aeropuerto de la ciudad más grande del mundo medida por el tráfico de pasajeros. Londres es edificios monumentales, como el ojo de Londres y el Big Ben. Londres tiene calles muy anchas, tiene clubes para los niños. Uno de los platos más populares es el pescado y patatas fritas. La gente es muy amable y educado .. En Covent Garden es la estrella de la calle, la respuesta de Londres para el Hollywood Walk of Fame.

3 London is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom. Standing on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia, its history going back to its founding by the Romans, who named it Londinium. London is a leading global city, with strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism, and transport all contributing to its prominence. It is one of the world's leading financial centers and has the fifth-or sixth-largest metropolitan area GDP in the world depending on measurement. London is a world cultural capital. It is the world's most-visited city as measured by international arrivals and has the world's largest city airport system measured by passenger traffic. 

4 London is a very attractive city for tourism thanks to its monumental buildings, such as the London eye and the big ben. London has very wide streets, it has youth clubs for the kids, and it has sports centers and many other attraction for the adults.  One of the most popular dish is the fish and chips, you can see people eating it in the middle of the street. The people are very kind and polite.  In Covent Garden is Star Street , London's answer to the Hollywood Walk of Fame . 

5 The Natural History Society of London says the British capital is "one of the greenest cities " because over 40% of its area are green spaces. He estimates that there are in it over 2000 plant species in the Thames River as it passes through the city you can find 120 species of fish. They also claim that in central London 60 types of birds nest and across the metropolis have been counted 47 species of butterflies, moths 1173 and more than 270 spiders. Wetland areas of the city are home to colonies of national importance of waterfowl. London has 38 Sites of Special Scientific Interest , two National Nature Reserves and 76 Local Nature Reserves .

6 London generates approximately 20 % of the gross domestic product of the United Kingdom , and huge metropolitan area, which is the largest in Europe, 30 % of the nation. London is also one of the main financial centers of the world , while rivals New York as the preeminent international finance

7 London is a city with great weight in the world of higher education and research and its 43 universities form the largest concentration of colleges of all Europa.19 In the city had a university population that haunted students , about 17% of the whole country , of which 287,000 were registered to undergraduate and in studies of posgrado.222 in that same school year there were 97,150 international students in London, which was a 25 % of all United Unido.222

8 London is a very popular tourist destination, so this is one of their main industries 350,000 people working full time in tourism in 2003 , a sector that leaves annually in the city about fifteen billion pounds . Every year visiting the British capital fifteen million tourists, fourteen of them foreigners, which makes it the most visited European city . Moreover, the number of people who only stay a night on the town is about 27 million a year. London places most visited by tourists are: 1. British Museum 2. National Gallery 3. Museum of Natural History 4. Tate Modern 5. London Eye 6. Science Museum 7. Victoria and Albert Museum 8. Tower of London 9. Royal Museums Greenwich 10. Madame Tussauds
