To compare QUALITY, use: TAN + adjetivo or adverbio + como. Mi mamá era TAN GENEROSA COMO mi abuelo. To compare QUANTITIES of things, use: TANTO/OS/A/AS + noun + como Yo tenía TANTOS AMIGOS COMO amigas. Rachel comía TANTA PASTA COMO arroz.
