2 We will, of course, have to start with an explanation of the passive voice in English.
Both English and Spanish have two voices: active and passive. Active is when the subject is acting: John hits the ball. John pega el balon. Passive is when the subject is being acted upon: She was hit by the ball. Ella fue pegado por el balon. In the latter, the subject isn’t doing anything; something is happening to him or her.

3 It’s actually very easy. You use “ser” and the past participle:
The purpose here is for you to learn how to form the passive voice in Spanish. It’s actually very easy. You use “ser” and the past participle: La torta fue comida por mi hermana. – The cake was eaten by my sister. The books were written by J.K. Rowling. – Los libros fueron escritos por J.K. Rowling. Note that the past participle MUST agree in number and gender with the subject. La cena fue hecha por María – Dinner was made by Maria. Las cenas fueron hechas por María – Dinners were made by Maria.

4 Ser: Singular - fue Mucha ropa fue donada por los miembros de la comunidad. A lot of clothing was donated by members of the community. Plural - fueron Varios programas fueron creados por el gobierno. Several programs were created by the government
