San Borja was considered fourth phase of the APEC Low Carbon Model Town project ( LCMT) in In a Feasibility Study was carried out The District of san Borja is a mainly residencial town within Lima Province that is comprised of 43 municipalities. Lima is located within west –central Peru , sitting in a long narrow desert strip betwen the Pacific ocean and the Andes Mountains, the terrain is mostly flat. has a subtropical and desert weather, It rarely rains. Average annual temperatures ranges from 16-22°C, the temperature varies from 12-15°C in winter until 28-30°C in summer. Air conditioning / heater systems are no needed the main part of the year. Nowaday there are approximately 10 million people living in Lima,. San Borja is located in the center of Lima Humboldt Current SOUTH AMERICA

19 Feedback for LCT-I System ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES Easy to use if you have indicators. Some items do not apply to the reality of San Borja (e.g. reusing rainwater All items are equally weighted; this does not reflex the different moments and challenges of each city. For example, in 100% urbanized cities are very difficult to establish a shade covers over 25% of the floor area, this applies in cities with peripheral green belts or large urban forests; however, the effect of reducing heat islands noticed when the shade is in the same urban environment. 20 Future Plan of the Case Town FUTURE DEVELOPMENT IN LOW EMISSIONS San Borja has a plan that is currently in the process of validation through incorporation into the San Borja´s Development Plan ( ). After COP 20, a Sustainable Cities Program was created by the Ministry of Environment of Peru.
