CONCLUSIONES (I) Procedimientos restrictivos fracasados no deben reconvertirse a otras técnicas restrictivas. Tras Banda Gastrica fallida, se aconseja su retirada en un primer tiempo y su conversion a Bypass en un segundo tiempo.

CONCLUSIONES (II) Es necesaria una amplia experiencia en Cirugía Bariátrica y en Cirugía Laparoscópica Avanzada antes de enfrentarse a cualquier tipo de Reconversión. Aún así, la Morbi-Mortalidad asociada es del 12-41% en Cirugía Abierta y del 10-22% en Laparoscópica.

CONCLUSIONES (III) Hasta la fecha no existe ningún nivel de evidencia ni estudio prospectivo realizado que conteste a la pregunta de qué o cuál procedimiento “ideal” de Reconversión / Revisión debe realizarse en caso de inadecuada pérdida de peso, o excesiva reganancia del peso perdido o resolver los problemas malabsortivos / metabólicos derivados de la Cirugía.
