Sra. Schwarz  You use venir to say that someone is coming to a place or an event.  Venir is an e  ie stem-changing verb.  The e in the verb stem changes to ie in all forms except nosotros and vosotros.

Sra. Schwarz  Venir has an irregular yo form ending in “go” just like tener, hacer, and poner.  Remember that these verbs are called “yo go” verbs.  Let’s look at the present tense forms of venir.

Sra. Schwarz yo vengonosotros venimos nosotras tú vienesvosotros venís vosotras Ud. él viene ella (“it”) Uds. ellos vienen ellas (plural “it”) Remember that stem-changing verbs are known as “boot” or “shoe” verbs.
